Killzone 3 Beta Kicks Off October 25 for PS Plus Subs

Sony has dished out deets on the forthcoming Killzone 3 multiplayer beta, which is set to go live on October 25 with one important caveat: it’s limited to PS Plus subscribers. Apart from a “handful of key media partners and selected PAX feedback participants,” becoming a Plus member is your only ticket in at this point.

You’ll also need to download a Killzone 3 XMB theme for eligibility, which will appear on the Plus section of the PSN storefront come October 19. A limited number of invites — 10,000 in total — will be sent out across SCEA and SCEE territories during the first wave.

The beta for Guerilla’s tension-filled shooter will highlight all-new gameplay facets such as the “Operations game type, party system, and jetpack and exoskeleton vehicles.”

The full game is set to storm retail next year — February 22 to be exact.

Here's hoping I get in. Shame it isn't open to all PS+ members though, like the AC: Brotherhood beta.
