Blizzard just announced today that their latest World of Warcraft expansion, Cataclysm, will be hitting store shelves on December 7th of this year. The expansion will set you back $39.99 with a collectors edition setting you back even further at the ridiculous price of $79.99.

With a “redesigned leveling experience for those just starting out” they are hoping to target even more people and hopefully bring back those that gave up on the long-standing MMORPG already. It’s still not too late to sign-up for the Cataclysm beta over at Battle.net in case you want to potentially try the game out before it’s release in December.
