Capcom took the stage at Sony’s TGS press conference not only to show off their new trailer for Monster Hunter Portable 3rd to the audience but also to announce a special PSP bundle that includes a new redesigned unit that boasts improved battery life and exterior tweaks designed to make lengthy Monster Hunter sessions easier on your hands.

According to a Wired report, the back side of this PSP has been equipped with plastic grips and the analog stick now features a more tactile, concave surface. It’s slated to debut alongside the release of MHP 3rd in Japan with an asking price of 19,800 yen (approx. $230).

There’s no word on if it will reach the states, or if these changes will appear in a later PSP revision down the road.

Awesome!

I love the Monster Hunter series, but oh man I really wish they make one for the Xbox360.

I know they have one for Japan users, so hopefully they make one for us North Americans.

I love the look of this new PSP, but why couldn't they have improved the analogue stick, say, when they released the slim or something, the stupid thing sucks, and still does the on 3000.
