Did you know BioWare is tracking your every move in Mass Effect 2? No? Neither did we – but according to a recent IGN piece, the company has been collecting anonymous player data. The figures obtained are quite surprising, notably revealing that two players actually completed ME2 from start to finished 28 times. Likewise, four Xbox 360 players managed the feat 23 times. Talk about dedicated!

There’s a few other interesting nuggets. An unspecified portion of players have spent a total of 66 hours in a single playthrough, obviously exploring every nook and cranny. Additionally, 80 percent of the player base has chosen a male Shepard and 15 percent have opted to skip conversations.

According to franchise executive producer Casey Hudson, BioWare is utilizing the data to better shape future games or even post-release content, such as DLC. It’s certainly nice to see a developer going the extra mile in regards to quality assurance.
