StarCraft II Breaks 3 Million Copies Sold

Blizzard’s perpetually delayed StarCraft II is no longer considered a double-platinum hit. It’s escalated beyond that tier, breaking yet another sales barrier. The company gleefully announced today that the second installment its seminal RTS franchise has sold through 3 million copies to date.

Having already cemented its status as the bestselling PC title within 24 hours of availability, StarCraft II is well-positioned to take the no. 1 spot in total unit sales on the platform. Honestly, did anyone expect otherwise?

Deserves it IMO. No LAN may be a setback, but this truly is one of the most entertaining Single-Player experiences i've had.
