Clip: GoldenEye 007 Wii Multiplayer Showcase

Activision sends over a clip highlighting close to a minute of multiplayer bits from its GoldenEye makeover for Wii. Featured are reels from fan-favorite stages like Facility and Jungle. Check it out above.

Without a doubt, Activision is taking advantage of the nostalgia factor with this one, as evidenced by various blurbs that pop up throughout the course of the trailer. It’s a smart move — considering the sheer popularity of the Rare-developed N64 original. But will banking on the old crowd to drive hype be enough? Expectations of a multiplayer shooter have radically changed since 1997.
