More Anti-Piracy Measures in Place on 3DS

In speaking with CVG, Ian Curran, THQ publishing head, said that one thing about the device that excites him even more than the 3DS technology is the new technology that is to combat piracy. He continued to explain that the “problem with the DS market in the last few years, particulary with the DS Lite, is that it’s just been attacked by piracy.”

While the DSi introduced new methods as well, Curran says that the 3DS has “taken that a step further”. Even the DSi had its anti-piracy measures defeated with relative ease, let’s just hope the same doesn’t go for the 3DS as well.
