Valve Deploys Team Fortress 2 Engineer Update

The seemingly endless stream of teases for Valve’s Team Fortress 2 Engineer update have come to an elating halt. It’s finally out and chock full of content in typical Valve fashion. Oh, and it also gives players new ways to put their scrap metal to use.

Among the highlights is a Combat Mini-Sentry, which spawn 4 times as fast as a regular Sentry. In order to build and deploy these mini killing machines, players are required to equip the Gunslinger — a mechanical arm attachment that replaces the Engineer’s trusty wrench.

Those on the offensive can equip the newly-added Frontier Justice, which replaces the Engineer’s shotgun. This, combined with the Gunslinger allows for a devastating combo. The Justice will deliver two guaranteed crits for every foe your sentry guns down, or one crit for each kill assist.

Also included are four all-new maps, namely Thunder Mountain, Hightower, Upward and ColdFront. We’ve only scratched the surface of this massive update, folks. Hit the break for a full recap of the additions. Or, alternatively, launch Steam and start playing.

After playing TF2 for a bit, it seems like that it'll be unplayable for quite awhile. In all the matches I was in half or more of both teams were engineers. Needless to say nothing happened.

I got all my engie weapons.

This whole update I seen nothing but spies and engies. :argh:

I'm enjoying this update.

spies, snipers, and engies

Played one earlier with a class limit (thank God) to where each team had 4 engies max.

I had to play as sniper with the anti-spy (Or pyro) thing because fuck that shit there were too many spies to keep track of.
