BioShock 2 Protector Trials DLC Extends Single Player Campaign

2K Games announced today that the first serving of single-player DLC, dubbed Protector Trials, is due out on digital distribution fronts next month. Once again assuming the role of a Big Daddy, players are tasked with defending their Little Sister from “swarms of corrupt Splicers who are hell-bent on stealing the precious ADAM that she gathers from corpses.”

The pack offers up six new maps, strewn across three difficulty levels designed to suit players of varying skills. Also promised are “new unlockables, including never-before-seen concept art and videos,” alongside seven collectible Achievements are Trophies.

Protector Trials will set you back $4.99 or 400 MS Points when it hits PSN, Xbox Live Marketplace, and Games for Windows Live on August 3.
