Not only is Mario and Legend of Zelda creator Shigeru Miyamoto contemplating a 3D rendition of Super Mario World, he’s also preparing to dazzle us next year with an all-new video game character.
Speaking at a recent investors meeting at Nintendo’s Kyoto-based headquarters, the famed designer said, “It’s about time for a new game character. Perhaps this can be delivered next year.” Whether or not this “new game character” will play a role in an existing or completely new IP is unknown at this point. This nugget comes by way of a Sankei Shimbun report transcribed by Andriasang.
Suffice to say, we’re already pumped for next year’s E3 now. Leave it to Miyamoto and his creative charm.
