THQ Confirms Metro 2034

THQ’s atmospheric rollercoaster ride Metro 2033 is due for the sequel treatment, according to company CEO Danny Bilson.
Speaking to CVG, Bilson went as far to namedrop the title – despite having not been officially announced. It’s entitled Metro 2034 and will take advantage of stereo 3D tech on PC like its predecessor. However, no specific platforms were mentioned, so don’t take this as a confirmation for 3D support on PS3 yet.
Metro 2033 pushed the envelope for PC game visuals when it debuted back in March, shipping with DX11 and tessellation support. As a post-apocalyptic shooter it represents the best in its class. We’re understandably excited about a follow-up.
