iR Shell 3.61 Update

by Mike Bendel on August 5, 2007 @ 12:55 pm

AhMan has released a maintenance update to last week’s iR Shell release, fixing issues such as screen corruption while changing CPU speed in PSone games, and autoboot plugin incompatibilities. Read on for the full changelog.

Bug Fixes:

* Fixed screen corruption while changing CPU speed in PS1 games.
* Retained the overclock speed after exiting game/app while nethostfs is active.
* Fixed adhoc PC nethostfs connection problem. You no longer need to mess with the wlan switch.
* The MP3 will now resume at the exact position when switching firmware versions (1.5 iR Shell to 3.x iR Shell, or vice versa).
* Fixed the nethostfs crashing when fails to connect to the server. Nethostfs should no longer crash the PSP.
* Fixed autoboot plugin problem with some configurations. The updated version should fix the issue.

Special thanks:

* Dark_AleX for his previous contributions & help in iR Shell development. We hope you enjoyed hacking the PSP. Happy retirement and we wish you best of luck for your future endeavors.
* Team M33 for continuing DA’s work and their help in fixing M33 firmware compatibility issues with iR Shell.
* All iR Shell private forum and unofficial forum members for their contributions, including donations, testing, skin making, plugins, etc.

It's a shell replacement for PSP. It's like a totally custom XMB, with new features.

interesting...but it looks way to complicated for the average PSP users. I just want to use the infrared port! Is that so hard to ask

`Rage` says:

*Sigh* .. There's so much more to IRShell than just the Universal Remote.

IRShell is the best program.. Well.. Ever Made..

Just the ability to listen to MP3's during gameplay, wirelessly transfer files inbetween two different PSP's (At a decently fast rate might I add).. And to take advantage of the full aspects of the Infrared, that Sony seems to neglect.

It's truly amazing.

Also, IRShell isn't that hard to use.. You can pick up all the basics in nearly a minute or so..

I recommend this program for every PSP user.

This completes the PSP.

Ok I swore I would never touch this again after weeks of trying to get nethost to do something, But I'm pleasantly surprised that it was updated, and hopefully This is going to work this time. Thanks ahman for the long awaited update. If this works it will indeed be my Favorite Brew.

Yeah I am not quite sure to be honest. Got the screenshot from the iR Shell site. I'll drop StoneCut a PM and find out.
