HMV Taking MGS 4 Xbox 360 Pre-Orders

UK retail powerhouse HMV is listing Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns Of The Patriots as available for pre-order on the PlayStation 3… and Xbox 360. Not only that, the website lists the PS3 version as hitting Europe on April 18, with the Xbox 360 coming five months later on September 26.

Sony execs and even Kojima himself have explicitly stated that MGS 4 is a PS3 exclusive in the past. However, for all we know, it could just be a timed exclusive, and Sony has every right to say that the title is exclusive to its platform for now.

Of course this isn’t solid proof that MGS 4 is coming to 360. But if it is an error, then it’s a big mistake on HMV’s part.

I'm inclined to believe it was a slip up... but of course it could've been the new guy.

It just doesn't make sense to keep MGS 4 PS3 only. The budget for the game is probably massive and the PS3's userbase is relatively low compared to that of the 360. Konami will be missing out on a lot of potential sales if its PS3 only.

I think this is fake and even if it was true it will by no means be the end of the ps3. Regardless both the 360 and ps3 will be around for a long time. And yes they still have final fantasy. I just think that since it was built from the ground up for the ps3 it would be a crappy port and also the fact that both sony and kojima said it was ps3 exclusive makes me think this is just a mistkae. They probably figured this would get alot of hits on their site and maybe people would buy somthing there.
