Inafune: Devil May Cry 5 Will Appease Fans

While Capcom has yet to formally announce the next odd-numbered entry in its Devil May Cry franchise, that isn’t stopping the company from talking about it. Research and Development head Keiji Inafune says the company is intent on polling the fanbase to gather input on how it should approach its next demon slaying outing.
“We need to look at [Devil May Cry fans], analyse what they want in a game, what they don’t want in a game, and then take that into account for if we are going to create a future title,” explained Inafune in an interview with UK site VideoGamer.
He added, “[It is beneficial to] see if there is something we can create that is going to overcome their expectations, as well as create a title that’s going to get a lot of critical acclaim and be reviewed quite well.
Listening to your fanbase is a solid approach. Beyond that, Inafune decline to drop any hints as to when we might see Devil May Cry 5. Rumors originating from Game Informer sparked waves last April proclaiming that Ninja Theory of Heavenly Sword fame were tasked with development duties on the title. Capcom has neither confirmed nor denied those reports.
