A BBC journalist recently had some hands-on time with the much-hyped PlayStation 3 title Killzone 2. His thoughts on the game were nothing less than what we’d expect – solid gameplay, an aggressive and smart AI system, and immersive graphics. Just like the other Killzone games, this one is also very violent. How violent? Apparently enough to get an 18 certificate (the equivalent of an ERSB AO-rating in the UK).

The violence is intense and the title is destined for an 18 certificate. It could also spark further debate over the use of photo-real violence in videogames.

We all know the mess this caused with Manhunt 2, let’s hope it doesn’t happen to Killzone 2.
