Sony has added another peripheral to help aid your gaming experience, and this time it’s for the audiophiles out there. In what is essentially a sound bar single speaker system powered by Sony’s proprietary S-Force Pro technology, the system hopes to simulate a true surround sound setup for your gaming needs. Sporting an integrated sub-woofer with 2.1 channels, there are only two input choices here; optical and analog.
The system will also have available four sound fields to choose from; Dynamic, Standard, Vivid and Stereo to coincide with two sound modes. The sound mode options are Night Mode for when you need clarity with low volume levels and Dialogue Mode which will amplify speech in games in movies.
The Sony Surround Sound System will be available in the Fall of 2010 and will retail for $199.99 in North America and €199.99 in the EU.
