Microsoft Announces Strategic Partnership With Activision

by Mike Bendel on June 14, 2010 @ 10:55 am

At its E3 media briefing, Microsoft’s Don Mattrick announced that the company has entered into a “multi-year, multi-title” partnership with Call of Duty publisher Activison.

Under the agreement, Activision will release future DLC offerings exclusively on Xbox 360. The recently released Stimulus and Resurgence packs for MW2 kicked off this trend. Looks like this strategic partnership will continue for the foreseeable future.

looks like its time to boycott activision. I dont get it, the PS3 has MUCH better graphics. The only LEGIT thing I hear from 360 owners is that the online is better than the PS3, so why dont the 360 owners get a pc or a laptop, ITS THE SAME THING, you can even connect it to your tv. Game companies are stupid why cut out more than half of your target audience. I doubt that people will buy a 369 just for activisions crappy line up. Oh wait they have call of duty, so what go play orange box on ps3 its better anyway

Regardless of any of that, CaptainHowdy, PS3 owners are getting the shaft. That's pretty much reason enough to boycott Activision.

They need to just make Modern Warfare XBOX 360 Exclusive instead of releasing it multi-platform. I will be avoiding Activision Games going forward. This is crap. I hope Activision realizes that it is things like this that knock down a gaming giant to a gaming has been.

Everyone I know (that plays games) is going to completely boycott Activision, this includes map paks
