Itagaki Preps First Valhalla Project for E3 Unveil

Tomonobu Itagaki, best known as the creator behind the Dead or Alive and modern-day Ninja Gaiden franchise, is poised to unveil his fifth major project at E3 2010. In development at Valhalla Game Studio, an outfit he founded earlier this year following a terse breakup with Tecmo in 2008, the title is an all-new original IP.
While remaining coy on details, Itagaki boasted about the new title in a blog post on his studio’s official website:
Thus, this announcement will be the fifth all-new project in my lifetime. I don’t know if that number is large or small, but I know as a fact that every one of these announcements was a presentation of a new gaming paradigm from me to all of you. This time, it is no different. Details will be coming soon, so please look forward to hearing from me.
A “new gaming paradigm,” eh? Itagaki hasn’t lost his charm, that’s for sure. We’re setting our expectations to sky high now. Any takers on platforms?
