Microsoft owned studio Rare has launched a countdown timer on its website, touting a mystery announcement scheduled for a proper unveil in under seven days. The end date falls on June 14, which not surprisingly is the same day that Microsoft will host its annual E3 press conference on.

If we had to drop a wild guess, Rare most definitely has a game announcement in store for next week, presumably one of the Natal variant. Call it a mere hunch, but the teaser page art gives us a Natal vibe, what with the stocky avatar figure standing next to the countdown.

Not to mention, given that Rare is a first-party studio, they assuredly were among the first to receive Natal kits. By extension, that means they are more likely to have something ready for public consumption at this stage.
