Rockstar Developing Exclusive PS3 Franchise

by Mike Bendel on July 28, 2007 @ 2:46 am

Why hasn’t Sony been worried about that exclusive GTA IV downloadable content on the Xbox 360? Word is Rockstar is developing a new franchise, exclusive to the PlayStation 3.

As part of our long standing relationship with Rockstar, and the incredible success for both companies with the cultural icon that is Grand Theft Auto, we’ve agreed to the PlayStation exclusive rights of the next great franchise from the Rockstar studios.

The news comes from Michael Shorrock, director of third-party relations at SCEA. Sony is keeping a tight lid on any game details at the moment, so we really have no idea what it is. Regardless, though, it’s definitely good news for PlayStation fans.

i really wonder too.....especially considering its rockstar....they can swing from table tennis sim's to grand theft auto.....although they do seem to try and cater for older audiences anyway.

Rockstar and Exclusives?????? I guess they mean It'll be exclusive for a limited time, then It'll port over to either the 360 or Wii

Remember what Rockstar used to say about GTA.

I thought rockstar was bought by sony now?

x3sphere says:

No Sony doesn't own Rockstar... otherwise GTA IV wouldn't be going to the 360.

canadajames says:

What company did sony just buy then?

icedman204 says:
