Ubisoft Toronto Helms Next Splinter Cell

Following Conviction’s long road to completion, word has emerged that Ubisoft is already plugging away at another entry in the franchise. The company’s Toronto based studio, led by Assassin’s Creed producer Jade Raymond, today announced their role as the creative force behind the next Splinter Cell.
Given that Conviction was only released a month ago, details on Sam Fisher’s next outing are understandably scant. It will, however, re-use tech from Conviction, such as the underlying game engine. That decision should hopefully translate to a shorter development cycle this time around.
Ubisoft Montreal vet and Conviction frontman Alex Parizeau has joined up with the company’s Toronto studio to lend a helping hand, reprising his role as producer on the project.
