Q Games and Sony have announced that production is well underway for PixelJunk Shooter 2. The follow-up to 2009′s artsy PSN shooter looks to expand on the original in every which way imaginable.
To that end, executive producer Dylan Cuthbert says the team is busy “implementing all the ideas that were left on the drawing board for the first game to make Shooter 2 as jam-packed full of crazy fun as possible.” He added, “I’m pretty sure we won’t make a Shooter 3 because everything and the kitchen sink (probably quite literally) is going into Shooter 2.”
Building on top of the original’s successful formula sounds like a recipe for success to us. Beyond that, details remain scant. You can bet we’ll hear more on this one at E3, though.
