Coinciding with the release of PS3 Firmware 1.90, Sony has now released Firmware 3.52 for the PSP. It is a rather minor update, only increasing compatibility with PlayStation Network (or PSone) titles.
Grab it from Network Update or via the download link below. Of course, do not update if you value homebrew.

Yes, M33 firmware prevents you from running official updates.

no the official 3.52 can't play ISO/CSO. only custom firmwares can play iso/cso at the moment.

They are wrong then. All updates the exact same. You can even check by comparing MD5 or SHA-1 values.

Because Sony is a Japanese-based company.
QJ doesn't realize the US / EU / JPN updates are the same. That's why they have a bunch of different versions on the site.
