MadWorld Director Leaves PlatinumGames, Joins Mikami Start-Up Tango

Director Shigenori Nishikawa, responsible for the hyper-violent Wii brawler MadWorld, is parting ways with PlatinumGames to join Tango, Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami’s recently launched Tokyo-based start-up,
Made official on the Twitter account of Bayonetta director Hideki Kamiya, this move will mark a reunion of sorts for the two individuals. Prior to joining PlatinumGames, Nishikawa worked alongside Mikami on Capcom’s Resident Evil 4 and the original PSOne installment.
At present, Nishikawa-san is overseeing production on PlatinumGames’ upcoming third-person shooter Vanquish and will leave once development wraps up.
Mikami-san is currently teasing a new project, which still remains shrouded in mystery. More details are expected to emerge within the coming months, with a countdown clock on Tango’s company site pointing to July.
