Reggie: Wii Hard Drive A Possibility

by Mike Bendel on July 23, 2007 @ 2:00 am

Post-E3, a rumor floating about was that Nintendo was planning to unveil a Wii Hard Drive during its press conference. Of course, they did not. However, speculation still remains that Nintendo may have a Wii Hard Drive add-on in the works. Why? For one simple reason, SD Cards aren’t looking so big now with all the new Virtual Console games and and upcoming WiiWare titles.

In a lengthy interview with MTV News, Reggie said that indeed, there certainly could be a market for a Wii Hard Drive. Now this doesn’t give us much information at all, but it appears Nintendo is at least considering its options to release a Wii Hard Drive add-on.

watch; a 10 gb HDD for $100. Wouldn't surprise me.

Cheezeball99 says:

But the stuff also wouldn't be as big, size-wise. Considering a 1GB SD is like, what, 20 bucks? 10GB for 100 wouldn't be a bad deal.

MenaceInc says:

i'd say 20gig HD for about $100/£50 would be fairly doable.....10 gig just sounds so small nowadays. also,20gig HD's are about £25/$50 on ebay the last i checked so i'm sure nintendo could easily afford it and still make a profit
