Activision Publishing CEO Mike Griffith Steps Down

by Mike Bendel on April 28, 2010 @ 12:03 pm

Activision confirmed today that Mike Giffith, company CEO and head of Activision Publishing, has resigned. He will continue to stay at the company on an interim basis for another 12 months, serving as vice-chairman of Activision Blizzard.

Keep in mind that Activision Publishing is a separate branch of the gaming giant. Good ol’ Bobby Kotick still remains at the helm of Activision Blizzard.

Despite the position change, Griffth’s annual salary for the next 12 months will remain at $250,000, plus bonuses. Meanwhile, the folks at Infinity Ward are fighting tooth and nail to recover bonuses that were allegedly withheld from them.
