Nearly a year after its initial release, EA’s multiplayer centric first-person shooter Battlefield 1943 remains a strong contender in the digital space. The company today announced that sales have eclipsed the one million mark, making it the fastest-selling effort to grace Xbox Live Arcade yet.
Producer Gordon Van Dyke shared his thoughts on the achievement:
Being the fastest game to reach this milestone is an incredible achievement. The game has set a new standard for what can be done in the downloadable games category. It’s fantastic to see how gamers have recognized the value that the game delivers for just $15. It is another great entry point into the Battlefield franchise.
