Xbox 360 250GB HDD Goes Standalone

Finding your current Xbox 360 hard drive inadequate in terms of space? If you don’t mind footing the premium, Microsoft is now offering a 250GB variant in standalone form.
Originally only available as a pack-in with its top-tier Elite hardware configuration, the drive is priced at $129.99. While Microsoft calls it an “incredible value,” deal sleuths would beg to differ. It’s more like a return to hard drive pricing in the early 2000s, especially when a 1TB SATA drive can be had for a fraction of the cost. Ah well. Every console generation has its fair share of overpriced add-ons, this is one of ‘em.
