Microsoft today announced that Ruffian Games’ crime-repressing shooter sequel Crackdown 2 will hit Xbox 360 on July 6. A European release will follow on July 9.

Featuring four-player cooperative and 16-person competitive modes, the title promises to take multiplayer to “unprecedented heights,” giving players free reign to lay down the law and restore justice to Pacific City as they see fit in a standbox-style environment.
