PlayStation Move By The Numbers: 36 Third Party Publishers On Board, 20 Titles Due Out This Fiscal Year

Sony is throwing a fair amount of support behind its just-announced PlayStation Move motion controller, which should come as no surprise, seeing as the company likened the impending fall 2010 release of the device to a “platform launch” during its GDC 2010 press briefing.

In an interview with the PlayStation Blog, SCEA president Jack Tretton shed light on the amount of third-party party publishers that are backing the controller. Just how many are on board? Try 36. This includes the likes of Atlus, Capcom, Ubisoft, and Square Enix. Full list is after the break.

Quite an exhaustive list there if you ask us. Sony wasn’t bluffing, that’s for sure. Additionally, Tretton mentioned that 20 titles that take advantage of the controller to some degree are already in the pipeline, due for release during the company’s current fiscal year.

PlayStation Move is due out fall 2010.
