Following a stint of mysterious and puzzling teases, Valve officially announced development of Portal 2 today. It’s due out “this holiday season,” according to the developer themselves. We’re holding onto our companion cubes with glee.

Portal 2 is a direct sequel to 2007′s winner of over 70 industry achievement awards. Perhaps the cake won’t be a lie this time around.
