In its first quarter 2010 financial results, publisher Take-Two revealed that BioShock 2 has shipped over 3 million copies worldwide to date, declaring it a success. Launched to critical acclaim in 2007, the original BioShock has shifted over 4 million units to date, bringing total unit sales of the franchise as a whole to 7 million.
