The road to localization for Dragon Quest IX has been a lengthy one, as the RPG juggernaut hit Japan back in July. Good news is that it’s nearly ready for prime time on our shores, as Nintendo confirmed today that the DS exclusive will arrive sometime “this summer” as part of a “unique partnership” with Square Enix.
The title has been named Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies for its US release.
To date, Dragon Quest IX has shifted more than 4.15 million copies in the Japanese market.
