The Legend of Spyro Continues

In hope to breathe life into the now-lackluster Spyro franchise, Sierra has announced that it will release The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night for the Wii, DS, GBA, PS2, and mobile phones. The Eternal Night is the second chapter in Sierra’s Legend of Spyro series.
This installment continues where the last game left off, with the Ape King arriving at the Temple of Souls in an effort to usher in a new age of darkness. Our little purple dragon, Spyro, must unlock the secrets behind a series of strange visions that he is having and find the power to defeat this terrifying new force.
Hollywood-stars Elijah Wood and Gary Oldman are returning to provide voices for the cute dragon and his mentor Ignitus, the Fire Dragon Elder. The game will include all-new fury attacks, elemental melee moves, upgradeable breath attacks, and explosive boss battles against the likes of menacing creatures such as Skabb the Pirate and Gaul the Ape King.
This could be good. Well, let’s hope it’s good. Much like Crash Bandicoot, the Spyro series began to lose its charm after the third title for PSone.
