2K Boston Reverts Back To Irrational Games

2K Boston, best known as the development team behind BioShock, are making a grand return back to their roots. The studio is undergoing a name change to Irrational Games, its former identity. To celebrate the switch, GameInformer reports that IrrationalGames.com is being relaunched in style, with behind-the-scenes commentary and factoids on titles associated with the studio, both from the past and present.
The move makes sense: Irrational Games is a name that carries weight. After all, it was the driving force behind System Shock 2, a highly-praised survival horror and FPS crossover that later became known as the spiritual successor to BioShock. Currently, a countdown timer is ticking away with 3 days and 11 hours left, so it looks like we’ll see the revamped site in its full glory soon.
