Sony Promises Over 500 Offerings On PSP Comic Book Store Upon Launch
by Mike Bendel on November 27, 2009 @ 5:31 pm

Sony is preparing for the launch of its PSP Comic Book storefront in a big way, promising a selection of more than 500 paperback-gone-digital offerings in mid-December, when the store goes live in the US and Europe. A numbers of major publishers are backing the initiative, including 2000AD, Disney, Marvel, and IDW.
Sony’s Digital Comic Viewer – the required utility needed to view these comics – was added as an underlying feature in the recent firmware 6.20 update, so as soon as these PSP formatted offerings go live, you’ll be all set to download and view them. Still no word on price points but we’ll find out sooner or later.
