New Prince of Persia Title ‘The Forgotten Sands’ Trademarked

Prince of Persia creator Jordan Mechner has filed a trademark for Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, categorized under the area of gaming. First spotted by superannuation, this discovery has led to speculation that the title is being developed as a tie-in to the upcoming Prince of Persia motion picture film due for release in 2010.
No official word yet, but considering the obvious similarity between the names, this assumption certainly sounds plausible enough to us.
