Update: Sony just got back with us and confirmed that the November 17 date applies to both UMD and PSN.

Now the tagline of play, create, share will soon ring true anywhere as Sony has pegged a November 17 release date on the portable version of Media Molecule’s hit platformer LittleBigPlanet. Crafted exclusively for PSP, this installment features a completely new adventure. Sony did not specify if that date will also coincide with availability over PSN, but we’ve sent in a query to ask them.

Ensuring that nothing is lost in the transition, Media Molecule is focusing on what LittleBigPlanet was originally lauded for, that being its community. As such, the PSP take comes complete with a built-in level editor that allows players to share their creations with friends over the internet, just like its PS3 brethren.
