Developer Creat Studios announced today that Digger HD, a re-imagined version of the original 80s dirt-digging puzzle classic with updated music and lush visuals, will hit the North American PSN on October 1. A release in Europe will follow on October 8.

The title features over 60 underground mazes presented in crisp HD, in addition to secret trophies and a vintage gameplay mode for those feeling nostalgic.

The music really burns the ears. I wonder if the original popcorn tune is there. It's hard to tell what was added just for the trailer and what is gameplay audio/effects.
