PSP-PDA v1.3

by Mike Bendel on June 17, 2007 @ 3:54 pm

Zx-81 is back at it again! Today he released an updated version of Rob_PSP’s PSP-PDA, an excellent piece of homebrew that turns your PSP into a virtual PDA, sporting a compilation of useful applications, including: Notepad, an image viewer, address book, calendar, calculator, clock, and a fully-featured music player.

What could possibly be new in this release, you ask? Zx-81 has added support for IR keyboards, making this already useful application even more intuitive to use.

This sounds great. I hadn't even thought of using my PSP that way, but it doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Stuff like this is why we NEED a homebrew community. Sure, playing emulated games and whatnot is fun... but this sort of functionality could have been enabled by Sony in the first place, if they'd been thinking, and it boosts the power of the PSP to such an extent that I really can't understand why Sony doesn't do more to allow this sort of homebrew.

I'll have a go of that now!

You are right karasuman, since I've had custom F/w, its really opened up my Psp, before the Psp sort of sucked!

Even Just backing up UMDS to ISOs would be good...
