Director of Rumor Confirmation Leads New PS3 Marketing Blitz

With the worldwide PS3 price cut now into full effect, Sony Computer Entertainment America is a launching a new marketing campaign focused towards promoting the $299 price. Rather than taking an obscure approach with this one, as Sony is known to do with commercials, it will be more lighthearted and humorous to appeal towards the average, mass-market consumer.
While we don’t have a clip of the advertisement in action yet, the folks over at IndustryGamers managed to obtain some stills, introducing us to Kevin Butler, carrying the title of Director of Rumor Confirmation. That’s a decidedly apt position for delivering word of the price cut. Judging from the catch phrase of “It Only Does Everything,” expect Sony to tout the console’s Blu-ray capabilities in the ad.
