For those anxiously awaiting to pick up a PS3 Slim, it looks as if GameStop will be one of the first retailers to sell them. While SCEI president Kaz Hirai announced a widespread availability date of September 1 at the company’s GDC presser, a listing on GameStop.com pegs the slimmed-down hardware for a August 25 ship date.

Order now, and you’ll get it ahead of the street date assuming standard shipping times.
