Sony: Global PSN Downloads Hit 560 Million

During Sony’s Gamescom 2009 press conference, SCEE president Andrew House revealed that 560 million pieces of content have been downloaded from the PlayStation Store since launch. To date, 27 million accounts have been created, with 11 million of that figure belonging to European users.
From its inception, 23.7 million PS3 units have been sold across retail channels worldwide, along with 52.9 million PSP units. The PS2 is still chugging along at 138 million.
