StarCraft II Delayed, This Time To 2010

In its Q2 financial report, Activision Blizzard confirmed the news fans have been dreading to hear: real-time strategy opus StarCraft II will not make 2009 and instead has been rescheduled to launch in the first half of the 2010 calendar year.
In explaining the reasoning behind said delay, Activision Blizzard mentioned that the setback was made specifically to “coincide with the relaunch of its upgraded Battle.net online-gaming service.”
“As we prepare for next year, we have moved the expected release dates for two games, Activision Publishing’s Singularity and Blizzard Entertainment’s StarCraft II, into 2010,” stated company CEO Bobby Kotick in a release.
On the brighter side of things, at least the StarCraft II beta is still on for this year, meaning at least some of us will be lucky enough to play it before 2010 rolls around.
