Capcom: Dark Void Now Scheduled for 2010 To Avoid Competition

Yet another title has been pushed out of the once-crowded months of fall 2009. This time, it’s Dark Void, an Unreal Engine 3-powered shooter featuring a mix of on-foot and airborne combat now scheduled for 2010. A press release issued by publisher Capcom mentioned that the delay was in part due to “avoid competition with releases of major titles of other companies” also scheduled for this fall. Hey, at least they’re honest.
With several publishers backpedaling on their fall efforts, I have a feeling this is going to make Activision’s goal of recording the biggest entertainment launch ever with Modern Warfare 2 that much easier.
