With Ceramic White flavored DualShock 3 controllers slowly cropping up in retail stores across North America, Sony is poised to debut red and blue variants of the vibrating pad later this October, according to an Engadget report.

Together, the three colors make an obvious connection in representing the American flag. A subconscious marketing strategy in action or a by-chance decision? We’d wager towards the former. Nevertheless, new controller shades dropping in regions other than Japan is always a pleasing sight, a gesture that we’d like to see from other companies (we’re looking at you Nintendo!).
