Gears 2 All Fronts DLC Launches Early, Then Gets Pulled

Much to Epic’s dismay, the Gears 2 “All Fronts” DLC pack for Gears of War 2 conspicuously appeared on Xbox Live today, despite having a stamped release date of July 28. To make matters even more perplexing, said DLC was available for 800 MS points, instead of the originally announced 1600 MS points. A stroke of generosity or a serious mistake?
Turns out, it was a mistake, as Microsoft has removed the offending content, now locked away until the 28th. It was purchasable for a brief time, so those who were lucky enough to nab this deal, get to keep it. Unsurprisingly, Epic is asking forum users not to take screenshots or videos of the accidentally released DLC. Now that the cat is out of the bag so to speak, we have a feeling that request won’t go over very well.
