Dark_AleX releases NANDFlasher 0.1 Beta

by Mike Bendel on June 11, 2007 @ 10:56 am

Dark_AleX has released the first version of his NANDFlasher, a tool aimed specifically at PSP modchip owners. It enables users to perform advanced operations on the PSP’s NAND flash chip, such as completely dumping the NAND flash or even flashing over a new NAND dump.

Reminder: If you do not own a U.P. or Devolution modchip, this tool is not for you. For those who do have these chips installed, refer to the readme.txt and usage.txt for detailed setup instructions.

Hi,

Can some one explain what is this , plz ?

Cheezeball99 says:

Basically, what it does is opens up the ability to flash new OE firmwares to a modchip, or at least UP, if I'm not mistaken.

x3sphere says:

Provided that you have a modchip, it allows you to dump your NAND flash chip or write to it. So you can recover from bricks for example. I think U.P. had its own software, but the Devolution had none. Anyway, now you can use D_A's tool for both.
