Resident Evil PSP Is “All-New,” Developed With PSP Go In Mind

Given the PSP’s graphical prowess, avid followers of the survival horror genre have been clamoring for a true Resident Evil title on the handheld for some time now. Their wish was finally granted at Sony’s E3 press conference last week, where a PSP-specific entry in the series was announced.
While no real details were divulged during the conference, Capcom communications director Chris Kramer let slip on the company’s official blog earlier today that this portable Resident Evil title is being developed specifically with the recently-announced PSP go in mind. What’s more, is that said title looks to take the series in a radically different direction, going by Kramer’s words:
I’ve managed to sneak a look at a very early game design document for this title and all I am allowed to say is: Wow. Totally different for a Resident Evil game. More in the future, promise!
Talk about a tease. We’re intrigued, that’s for sure. More as it breaks.
