Vibrant Blue PSP Hitting Europe This June In Harry Potter Bundle

Sony Europe has announced that the Vibrant Blue colored PSP will see a release in Europe this June, bundled with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Sporting a flashy blue metallic-like faceplate, the PSP first hit Japan last year under the collective moniker of “Carnival Colors.” Pricing was not announced.

Admittedly, this is an odd time to debut such a bundle considering a new PSP is heavily rumored to be unveiled during Sony’s press conference next week. However, the emergence of this bundle does little to put the kibosh on talk of a UMD-less PSP Go! when taking past marketing decisions into account. Looking back down the hardware timeline, you may recall that various PSP-2000 bundles hit the market mere months before the PSP-3000 was officially released.

Isn't this like bad marketing? I mean, why would someone buy this when the PSP-4000 is possibly just around the corner..?
